Tipton Ridge Vet Clinic Shares Their Experience with Managed Services
Our work takes us to a lot of interesting places. One of our favorites has been Tipton Ridge Veterinary Medical Center. What challenges were happening that caused you to consider using an MSP?
Business had grown to the point that I was wearing too many hats and couldn't keep up. Maintaining the hardware and software of our veterinary practice was beginning to feel like a full-time job. A job that I did not have a degree in, nor did I have a love or interest in.
What stood out about Lingo that made you choose them for your provider?
I Googled local companies and called two or three. Lingo was one of the first companies to call me back in spite of being the greatest distance away. Lingo offered to meet with me in person; others did not. In fact, one local company would not even return my call. Of the two companies I interviewed in person, Lingo was the only company that understood we were a small business and had a small business budget. They have allowed our service package to grow as our business has grown.
What has your experience been like with the Lingo team from installation to customer service?
Lingo representatives have always taken the time to explain what was needed, how much it would cost, and how long it would take. They have and still do this in a way that I can understand completely what is going to happen. They made it very clear from the beginning that they could and would educate me about my system to the extent that I wanted to learn. They have helped problem solve in a manner that has taught me to resolve the recurring smaller problems (printers!) and still respond in a timely manner when the electricity goes out, and we can't bring the system back up.
What stressors have been relieved with an MSP in place?
A Lingo representative and I spent three days investigating an Intuit error created by Intuit. It was the Lingo representative who called and called and called Intuit over and over again - spending many hours working to resolve an issue. When the conversation with Intuit went over my head, it was my Lingo representative who asked the questions that needed to be asked to protect my data. If Lingo had not made the extra backups, above and beyond what Intuit recommended, I would have lost months of data. We use a couple of different software programs to run our practice. They don't always like to “talk” to each other. Lingo has stepped in multiple times and coordinated with multiple companies to get the outcome we needed. They have saved me hours upon hours of time that I needed for my practice manager responsibilities.
How does having an MSP help your business run better?
I DON'T WORRY!!!! I have enough on my plate without worrying about why the Xerox isn't working, or if someone is trying to hack into our records and steal our client information. I don't have to try and run new lines when we installed our upgraded lab stations or set up computers in the exam rooms. I have never once been told that something was impossible (sometimes just too expensive - they know my budget!), or that there wasn't time to attend to my needs as a business. They have steered me away from bad technological choices and saved me from causing great damage to the equipment I have.
I have absolutely no regrets about our choice to hire Lingo Networks. Good customer service means everything in my industry - therefore, it is what I look for in a service oriented company. I have never once been made to feel like they were doing me a favor by retaining me as a client. I am always made to feel as if I am their most important client. Again, you just don't find that level of excellent customer service in the business world today.
