Recently, we were reminded what a beautiful part of the country we live in. It’s pretty special to have mountains, valleys, rivers, lakes, and more at our fingertips.
We often get to travel to see Managed Services clients in these beautiful places too. One that comes to mind is The Owner’s Club at The Homestead in Hot Springs, Virginia.
We recently talked with Karen Williams, the General Manager of The Owner’s Club at The Homestead, about her experience as a Lingo Managed Services client, and she had some insights that might help you if you’re considering a Managed Services provider.
Q: What does your business do, and who do you serve?
We are an Owners Association of a private club. We serve 429 Members who own 33 Club Homes. We oversee the day-to-day operations as well as facilitate their vacation experiences through the use of the nearby resort that their membership gives them access to. We handle all the maintenance, housekeeping, capital investments and improvements, as well as the reservations and HR and payroll.
Q: What prompted you to need the services that Lingo provides?
Finding our internet speeds were less than adequate for our Members, I became involved with the county and area to see if other options were going to be made available to our area. As a result, I discovered Lingo.
Q: What made you decide to use Lingo as your provider?
The reputation of a local company along with their innovation and vast resources.
Q: What pain points were solved once you had the Lingo services?
Once they installed fiber to our site, we saw immediate results - little or no outages, faster speeds, and a great support staff right at our fingertips.
Q: Describe your overall experience of being a Lingo customer.
We are incredibly satisfied with our decision to change from the local provider to Lingo. They have come into our area and are making a big difference in the quality of the internet.
Q: Is there anything else you think it's important for people to know?
We were having issues with our television programming for the Club Homes, and they were able to connect us directly with a great system. It’s a great value as well as service. We more than doubled our television stations and have control of what channels we wanted.
