A+ Educator Awards are Back!
Each month, Lingo Networks, powered by MGW recognizes a local outstanding elementary, middle, and high school staff member who has exhibited superior dedication and unique determination in fulfilling their job responsibilities. This month we would like to recognize 3 extraordinary staff members from Grace Christian School.
These awards serve to highlight teachers and staff members at local schools that are nominated by their peers for going above and beyond in their service to their students and colleagues. The A+ Educators Awards are our way of saying thank you to the teachers and staff making a difference. Each of the current winners will receive a gift certificate to The Depot Grille in Downtown Staunton to celebrate their greatly valued success!
Winner: Jill Bywaters
Position: Middle School Literature/Bible teacher; High School Art teacher
School: Grace Christian School
Jill Bywaters has been serving GCS students for five years. She is an accomplished and creative HS Art Teacher as well as an outstanding MS Literature/Bible teacher. She brings to every class a passion for learning, the joy of discovery, and most importantly, her commitment to putting Christ first in everything she does. She is a blessing to all who know her.
Winner: Kiperly Coley
Position: High School Math Teacher
School: Grace Christian School
While Kiperly Coley is one of GCS’s newer additions to their teaching staff, she has quickly integrated into the fabric of our school and become a student favorite. Her ability to teach students at all levels of math comprehension in her classrooms is only matched by her servant's heart to assist students individually. Additionally, her wisdom, wit, humility, and transparency are all qualities that her peers and students greatly appreciate.
Winner: Mandy Wells
Position: Elementary and Middle School Administrative Assistant
School: Grace Christian School
The invaluableness of this recipient, Mandy Wells, is understood school wide. She is the most efficient problem solver, learned institutional banner keeper, and most compassionate “boo-boo” fixer! Staff, students, and families all know we could not have a successful school without Mandy!! She is not only a GCS alum and parent, but also the glue that keeps all of us on track. Whenever Mandy retires (which is hopefully never), it will take three people to replace all she does.
